Visit contacts.google.com to view your backed-up contacts.
In the Google Contacts app, go to All Contacts > Customize View and disable all toggles except for your Google account.
Using Google Contacts website (works from Android, iPhone, or PC)
If contacts sync with Google, they will appear in your Google account. Check them by visiting contacts.google.com from your phone or computer. Make sure to log into the correct Google account. Once logged in, you will see all the contacts backed up to your Google account.
Using Google Contacts app (Android phones)
- Open the Google Contacts app and select “All contacts” > “Customize view.”
- Next, toggle on only the Google account where you want to verify contact syncing > tap “Save.” The synced contacts for that account will display.
Note: To determine the default location for new contacts, tap the profile picture icon in the top-right corner > navigate to Contacts settings > Default accounts for new contacts.
Considerations:
- If a contact isn’t visible in your Google account, it’s not synced.
- Contacts can’t sync to child or G-Suite accounts.
- SIM contacts and those from other services like Yahoo won’t sync automatically to Google Contacts; you need to import them first.

For Samsung Contacts app (Samsung Galaxy phones)
- In the Samsung Contacts app, tap the three-bar icon and select Google or All Contacts.
- Choose the Google account to see a list of contacts syncing to that account.
For iPhone
On iPhone, contacts sync to iCloud by default. To save new contacts to Google, go to Settings > Contacts > Default Account and select Google Account. However, you must manually move existing iCloud contacts to Google contacts.
Afterward, open the Contacts app on your iPhone > tap “List” at the top > select “All Gmail” to see the contacts.
